Space issue remains unsettled for alternative high school

While school year started Wednesday for Belgrade students, the alternative high school program will begin Monday. But the program has yet to find a permanent new home, and for the time being will be housed in two classrooms at the high school, officials said.
The district is considering leasing a portion of an 18,000-square-foot building in the Bruce Industrial Park, the former home of Phillips Environmental. School officials are looking to team up with Career Transitions and R.E.A.D.I. Workforce Training System to create a “one-stop shop” for training, counseling and other job-related endeavors.

New picnic tables at the market

We are proud to announce the arrival of 4 new picnic tables made by the Johnathan Sutton Troop 649 in Belgrade. This is Johnathans Eagle Scout Project and he constructed 4 tables for the Gallatin Valley Farmers’ Market and the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.
